This past weekend, the Gunbelt 20-Point Shoot brought together fast draw enthusiasts for an exciting competition filled with skill, camaraderie, and a little bit of unpredictable weather! With around 46 shooters stepping up to the line, it was a fantastic turnout that showcased the best of what XFDA competition is all about.
A Competitive and Fun-Filled Event
Saturday saw some fierce matchups as competitors battled for top spots, pushing their limits with every draw. Despite Sunday bringing in some chilly weather, it didn’t put a damper on the enthusiasm of our shooters—everyone stuck it out, proving once again that the fast draw spirit is as strong as ever!
Some of the standout performances included Blue Eyed Bandit and Johnny Law, who clocked in with the fastest speeds of the weekend. When it came to consistency and accuracy, Bobkat and Speedy James rose to the top, securing 1st place.
With new shoots like Ozark Annie & miss Bunny consistently shooting well and hitting he target!
A Special Moment: The Jesse Smoke Wagon
One of the most unique moments of the weekend came when Jackass won the coveted Jesse Smoke Wagon. In a true display of sportsmanship, Jackass presented it back to Jesse, ensuring that a name can be drawn in April from the winners of the 8-month-long Smoke Wagon competition. This kind of gesture embodies the community spirit of fast draw—it’s about competition, yes, but also about tradition, respect, and making sure the sport continues to thrive.
Looking Ahead, With the Gunbelt 20-Point Shoot in the books, we’re already looking forward to upcoming events, like Florida State & The Free bolt Rangers.
